Girls tennis roundup: Willmar downs Tigers

MARSHALL - The Willmar girls tennis team won three singles and three doubles matches to post a 6-1 victory over Marshall on Monday.
Cayle Hovland, Jordyn Swoboda and Hannah Kobenia won singles matches and the teams of Amelia Amon and Claire Schmitz, Sydney Fischer and Amanda Zuidema, and Olivia Corneil and Kaylee Chester took doubles victories.
“The young Cards had a very positive team outing today,” said Willmar head coach Jim Anderson, “with the hope of continuing their strong play throughout the week with three more matches on the (schedule).”
The Cards play host to Rocori on Tuesday.
