Girls tennis roundup: Willmar upends Worthington

WILLMAR - The Willmar Cardinals swept their singles matches on the way to beating Worthington 6-1 on Saturday in a non-conference match.
Willmar singles players Cayle Hovland, Jordyn Swoboda, Elise Bierbaum and Lydia Morrell lost only two games combined.
Bergan Vollan and Olivia Corneil at 1-doubles recovered from a first-set loss to win 2-6, 6-4, 10-3.
At 3-doubles, Willmar’s Makenna Hogan and Kya Egge picked up their first varsity win, 6-0, 6-0.
Willmar (6-1, 12-1) hosts Rocori 4:30 p.m. today.

Kinny, Nelson, Rajewsky and Samuelson and Litchfield 1-doubles Laney Huhner and Avery Stillwell all went 2-1.
