WILLMAR -- Kelsey Guetter led five Lady Warriors in double figures in a 96-60 Ridgewater win over the St. Cloud Tech College Cyclones on Thursday.

Guetter struck for four straight baskets to start the second half to expand at 47-24 halftime lead.

The six-foot post finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Sara Beyer finished with 14 points, Chelsea Voorhees 13, Alison Mason 12 and Brianna Jacobson 11.

With 10 players, coach Carrie Ogdahl was able to platoon.

"I'd like to be able to do that down the line," said Ogdahl. "That way we could press all out, most of the time."

The Cyclones, only three deep on the bench, are a third-year program. Though Tech is in the MCAC in spring sports, the basketball team plays in the five team Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The Lady Warriors' shot 48 percent (24 of 50) in the second half, compared to 33 percent overall a night earlier in a loss to the St. Benedict's JV.

Guetter's college high-point game compares to 38 in high school at Redwood Valley against New Ulm.

Beyer also had her high game. The Morris graduate explained that she came to the Willmar campus to play softball, but figured she'd give basketball another try after playing hockey for the MBA Storm her final year of high school.

Ridgewater (2-2) plays North Dakota State College of Science, a Division I program, on Tuesday in Wahpeton.

Jarae Ellefson with 18 points paced four Cyclones in double figures. The visitors shot just 18 percent in the first half.
