Henjum sets school record in NLS victory

Courtney Henjum broke a 17-year-old New London-Spicer record Friday night as she scored a 36.975 in the all-around, besting Micki Toops' 2000 record of 36.85.

Courtney Henjum broke a 17-year-old New London-Spicer record Friday night as she scored a 36.975 in the all-around, besting Micki Toops' 2000 record of 36.85.

Henjum won all five events, powering the Wildcats to a dominant victory over Glencoe-Silver Lake. Her best moment came in the floor exercise as she scored a 9.5.

Teammate Emily Novak also had a strong night, scoring 34.225 for a second place finish in the all-around.

The Wildcats will compete again on Thursday in Waconia.
