High School Girls: Morris/Chokio-Alberta wins in overtime

The Tigers knock off Minnewaska Lakers 51-45 for their first win of the season

MORRIS — Outscoring Minnewaka 10-4 in overtime, Morris/Chokio-Alberta sealed its first win of the 2021 season Thursday night by beating the Lakers in girls basketball, 51-45.

Emma Bowman led a trio of Tigers in double figures with 19 points. Sydney Dietz had 11 points while Meredith Carrington came through with eight points.

The Lakers were led by Addy Randt’s 12 points, along with 10 points and 13 rebounds from Isabella Ortendahl.

Morris/CA heads to BOLD on Tuesday while Minnewaska plays host to Melrose on Saturday.
