High School Sports: Two Willmar athletes earn Central Lakes Conference weekly honors

Cardinal hockey goalie Brynn Grieger and Nordic skier Jacob Peterson are named CLC performers of the week.

Willmar girls hockey goaltender Brynn Grieger and boys Nordic skier Jacob Peterson have each earned Central Lakes Conference Performer of the Week honors.

Grieger, a junior, earned a shutout in her first varsity start. Peterson, a freshman, placed 10th in his first varsity race with a time of 13 minutes, 55 seconds.

Other athletes earning CLC honors last week were:

  • From Sauk Rapids, boys hockey player Brandon Bokelman and gymnast Kenzi Schmitz;

  • From Brainerd, girls hockey player Emma Booth and boys swimmer Mason Kuepers;

  • From Rocori, boys basketball player Tucker Haakonson and girls basketball player Madison Terres and wrestler Ben Hansen;

  • From St. Cloud Tech, boys basketball player Garrison Murray;

  • From Sartell, girls basketball player Megan Driste;

  • From Alexandria, girls Nordic skier Kaisa Bosek.
