PEQUOT LAKES — Snapping a three-game winless streak, the Willmar WarHawks got goals from eight different players en route to a 8-1 road victory against Breezy Point on Saturday from the Breezy Point Hockey Center.

Going on top with a first-period score from Bowie Slarks, the WarHawks exploded for five goals in the second period. Extending Willmar’s advantage to 6-0, Logan Starkey, Josh Hoffman, Brandon Holt and Marquez Ginger each lit the lamp before Jake Santarelli capped the onslaught by netted a score on a power play.

Trent Sylvester and Nick Foldesi added goals in the third period.

Assisting on two goals, Ginger led Willmar with three points. Six players finished with two points: Zack Bender (two assists), Eli Slagter (two assists), Dylan Svoboda (two assists), Holt (one goal, one assist), Sylvester (one goal, one assist) and Hoffman (one goal, one assist).

In search of its first home win of 2020, the WarHawks will host the Milwaukee Power at 7:30 p.m. Friday from the Willmar Civic Center.
