WILLMAR — The Willmar WarHawks extended its winning streak to four games following a 5-2 victory against Breezy Point Friday night from the Willmar Civic Center.

The home team jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period following goals from Christopher Drews and Justin Ohnstad.

After the North Stars closed their deficit to 3-2 at the end of the second period, Dylan Svoboda put the game away for the WarHawks with a pair of goals in the third.

Svoboda, from Austin, first lit the lamp 6 minutes, 24 seconds into the frame with assists from Elbridge DeKraai and Jake Santarelli. Then, with under two minutes remaining, Svoboda scored again following helpers from Trent Sylvester and Zack Bender.

Collecting 25 saves, goaltender Lukas Haugen earned his fourth win in net this season.

Willmar and Breezy Point face off again at 7:30 p.m. Saturday back at the Willmar Civic Center.
