SAUK RAPIDS - Willmar held an 11-point lead at halftime but saw that slip away as Sauk Rapids heated up in the second half and edged the Cardinals 57-51 on Friday.
The Storm outscored the Cardinals 38-22 in the second half.
Cayle Hovland was dominant in the paint all night for the Cardinals, scoring 16 points with 12 rebounds but Sauk Rapids' Bailey Becker was the game's leader with 17 points.
