Andy Jacobson, 31, of Willmar lost in the championship match of the fifth MGA Mid-Players match-play tournament to No. 2-seed Erik Christopherson of Stillwater on Thursday morning, 4-and-3 at Olympic Hills GC in Eden Prairie.
Jacobson played even-par golf, but won just one hole to five by Christopherson, 35, who is the also the 2010 MGA Players Champion.
Seeded No. 8, Jacobson won four matches over Tuesday and Wednesday to reach the final.
