KMS Fighting Saints take second in Morris

MORRIS —Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg finished second at the Dr. Busian Tiger Invitational on Saturday in Morris.

The Fighting Saints ended the day with 163 points, behind only West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville’s 166. Coy Gunderson (113 pounds) and Will Magaard (138) each won their respective weights while Ely Johnson (120) and Rick Jones (170) also reached the finals.

MAHACA was third with 145.5 points and had three champions in Ethan Lebrija (120), Davin Rose (126) and Dalton Rose (182).

BOLD’s Anthony Maher (160 pounds) and Tim Peppel (220) both took first place at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted invitational on Saturday.

As a team, the Warriors finished sixth with 95 points. Watertown-Mayer/Mayer Lutheran won with 158 poinds.
