Ridgewater College freshman Nathanial Swoyer of Willmar, the Class AAA 189-pound champions last March, is one of more than a half-dozen volunteers coaching at the free K-5 Willmar Early Bird Wrestling Clinic at Kennedy Elementary this week. The four, two-hour sessions are supervised by Cardinal wrestling coaches Ed Oehlers and Justin Brown. On Wednesday, 76 of the 84 registrations were on hand. Swoyer will be coaching in the junior high program this winter.
