MORRIS - BOLD held most of Foley’s batting order in check, but two hitters did too much damage and ended the Mudhens’ season in the Division II state tournament.
Cameron Jurek and Tyler Midas drove in all eight Foley runs in an 8-6 victory over BOLD on Saturday at Chizek Field.
BOLD closed with a 15-10 record.
Moose Lake went on to down Foley 2-0 in the state championship game.
BOLD led 6-1 after 3-1/2 innings, but Jurek hit a two-run triple and Midas hit one of his two home runs in Foley’s four-run fourth that shaved BOLD’s lead to a run.

Jurek then got the final two outs of the game, both on strikeouts, to notch the save.
BOLD’s Lane Stadther was 2-for-4 with a triple, a double and he drove in three runs, and Trent Athmann, Hunter Evenson and Riley Kramer all had two hits. Max Buchtel singled in a run.
