MONTEVIDEO -- Jake Bednar drove in all three runs with two outs for the Montevideo Legion team, which downed Willmar 3-2 in eight innings on Wednesday.
In the bottom of the eighth, Montevideo's Brett Bergeson tripled to centerfield and Bednar followed with the game-winning hit up the middle.
Montevideo is 8-3 overall and plays next against Minneota at 7 p.m. today in Montevideo.
Willmar plays Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Willmar.

Montevideo scored twice in the first inning when Joe Bednar and Colton Vien both singled and stole bases, then scored on Jake Bednar's double down the third base line.
Willmar tied the game in the sixth when Jason Gunvalson and Aaron Wiedemann both singled and both scored thanks to three Monte wild pitches.
Vien got the win, working all eight innings and allowing five hits while striking out 10.
Josh Warne took the hard-luck loss, scattering nine hits and walking six.

BOLD scored three runs in the first, and four runs in the second, and went on to defeat Tri-Town 9-3.
Logan Sandgren, and Riley Kramer, lead BOLD with three runs batted in, apiece. David Kinzler, and Nick Peterson each had two hits for Tri-Town.
Tri-Town starter Kinzler took the loss going 1.2 innings, giving up seven runs and two walks. Sandgren went five innings, earning the win, pitching five Innings, allowing three hits, one run, while fanning eight batters.
