SACRED HEART - Jeremy Hinderks came out on top of a pitchers’ duel, leading Sacred Heart to a 5-2 win over Raymond in a Cornbelt League game on Wednesday.
Hinderks worked all nine innings, scattering 10 hits while walking three and striking out nine.
Raymond’s John Sawatzky also worked a complete game, allowing just two earned runs and striking out seven.
Sacred Heart trailed by a run before scoring three runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead.
Hinderks also was 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored a run.
Jeff Hinderks had two hits and drove in two runs, and Mike Kuschel doubled and drove in a run.
Raymond’s Mike Jeseritz was 3-for-4, Tyler Steen had two hits and drove in a run, and Jordan Smith had the Rockets’ other RBI.
