Thanks to a strong game from Jack Peterson, the Tri-Town Black Sox were able to pick up a win over Sacred Heart/MACCRAY on Monday, 11-0.
Striking out five on the mound, Peterson threw a complete-game shutout with one hit and one walk allowed. He was also 1-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run, joining teammates Connor Barker and Logan Straumann in hitting homers for Tri-City. Josh Kingery was 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and two runs while Josh Kinzler went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored for the Black Sox. Barker had four RBIs in the victory.
Jack Howard took the loss for Sacred Heart/MACCRAY after relinquishing six runs on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout over two innings.

Pair of aces at Valley GC
Two golfers were able to sink a hole-in-one at Valley Golf Course in Willmar this month.
The first came on June 12 when Russ Johnson cupped a 143-yard drive with a 7-iron on hole No. 5.
