HECTOR -- Teagan Molden scored 19 points and MACCRAY made 13 of its last 15 free-throw attempts to rally past previously unbeaten Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart 57-44 in a non-conference girls basketball game Thursday.
The Mustangs (7-1), ranked No. 5 in Class A, owned a 21-17 lead at halftime before MACCRAY (7-2) stormed ahead in the final 18 minutes of play.
Karlee Ilgen netted 14 of her game-high 22 points in the second half for BLHS, but MACCRAY took its first lead with about eight minutes remaining and never looked back. The Wolverines finished the game 19-for-32 from the free-throw line while the Mustangs were only 8-for-14.
Abbey Thissen added 13 points and Andrea Ervin netted another 11 to spark the MACCRAY offense.
Thissen just missed collecting a double-double by grabbing nine rebounds. Thissen also made four steals.

Jessie Kalenberg with 11 points was the only other Mustang to score in double figures as BLHS shoot just 31 percent from the field. Ilgen also hooked 11 rebounds.
