WILLMAR - Led by the MCAC’s leading scorer Cody Krueger, Western Wisconsin Tech scratched out an 86-84 win over Ridgewater on Wednesday in Willmar.
The Warriors led 43-40 at the half but couldn’t hold on as the Cavaliers hung 46 points on them in the second half.
Krueger, who entered Wednesday’s game averaging 26 ppg, scored 19 against the Warriors, but teammate Ryan Svendsen beat him out with a 21-point, 7-rebound performance while hitting 5 three-pointers.
Ridgewater’s Melvin Kromah scored a game-high 24 points with 8 rebounds and 3 steals, and Beau Herrig added 20 points and 7 boards.
