AUSTIN -- The Ridgwater Warriors mounted a mighty second-half comeback to overtake Riverland 80-70 on Monday in a MCAC Southern Division men's basketball make-up.
The Warriors trailed 46-38 at halftime. A full-court zone triggered numerous disruptions in the perimeter-favoring Riverland offense, which made eight 3-pointers in the first half.
Ridgewater took the ball inside, drawing fouls and converting that to 12 points on 18 free-throw attempts.
Casey Sussenguth led four Warriors in twin figures with 26 points, followed by Shawn Neu with 19, Nathan Nietfeld with 15 and Mike Weber at 13. Weber and Sussenguth combined for 22 of Ridgewater's 51 rebounds.
The Warriors, who have won three straight, went to 4-3 in the South and 12-9 overall.

Taylor Morgan drained three of the Blue Devils' 11 treys on the way to a team-high 17 points.
Fergus Falls plays the Warriors at Willmar on Wednesday.
