MLB Draft: Twins tab former Stinger Tillery

WILLMAR - Seven more Willmar Stingers alumni and one player off the current roster were selected on the third day of the 2014 MLB draft on Saturday.
Florida Gulf Coast’s Zack Tillery became the first former Stinger to ever be drafted by the Minnesota Twins, going in the 13th round.
Later in the 13th, Kentucky’s Max Kuhn went to the Oakland Athletics.
The Chicago White Sox took Utah’s Tanner Banks and the Tampa Bay Rays took St. Louis’ Alec Sole in the 18th round.
St. Cloud State’s Kyle Fischer went to the Miami Marlins in the 30th round, and one pick later Hawaii’s Marc Flores went to the White Sox.
N.C. State’s Andrew Woeck wrapped it up, going to the Rays in the 31st round.
UC-Riverside’s Devyn Bolasky, currently on the Stingers’ roster, was also drafted, going to the New York Yankees in the 31st round. He has not played for Willmar yet due to Riverside’s course schedule.
In the first two days of the draft, Jake Stinnett went to the Chicago Cubs in the second round, Michael Suchy to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifth round and Logan Moon to the Kansas City Royals in the sixth round.
