BENSON -- Tyler Hansen rushed for three touchdowns as Morris Area whipped Benson 35-0 Friday in a West Central South Conference football game.
Morris (3-2, 4-2) scored in each quarter and averaged nearly seven yards a carry after rushing for 307 yards. Hansen opened the scoring with a 23-yard scamper in the first quarter and added scoring runs covering 40 and 17 yards in the third and fourth quarter, respectively.
The junior gained 165 yards on just 16 carries and now has 10 rushing touchdowns on the season.
The Tigers also had Ethan Bruer (19 yards) and Eric Riley (10 yards) score on runs in the second quarter.
Benson (1-4, 1-5), trying to build momentum from last week's win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, gained seven first downs and completed just one pass, which didn't gain any yardage.

Derek Hilleran rushed for 57 yards and Jeff Berens gained 55 more yards on the ground for Benson.
