NA3HL Hockey: Rochester overpowers WarHawks

WILLMAR--Willmar gots its offense going in the final two periods but it wasn't enough to overcome a three-goal deficit as the Rochester Grizzlies defeated the WarHawks 4-0 on Friday night at the Willmar Civic Center.

WILLMAR-Willmar gots its offense going in the final two periods but it wasn't enough to overcome a three-goal deficit as the Rochester Grizzlies defeated the WarHawks 4-0 on Friday night at the Willmar Civic Center.

The Grizzlies scored three first-period goals and outshot the WarHawks 26-6 in the period.

The WarHawks rebounded with 33 shots in the final two periods but couldn't find the back of the net.

WarHawks goalie Lucas Ehrlich faced 59 Rochester shots and made 55 saves.

Willmar's Isaiah Cameron scored eight seconds into the game but it was all Fergus Falls after that as the Cardinals dropped a game to the Otters on Friday.

Fergus Falls' Declan Young led a surge of five-straight goals after Cameron's tally. Young scored four goals, including a natural hat trick that included two power play goals.

Willmar's Ashton Gregory scored a power play goal on assists from Devin Sankey and Eldridge DeKraai in the third period.

Ethan Roux, at 170 pounds, and Kaden Streed, at 182, started the run with a pair of decisions. Then Lincoln Shinn scored a pin in 54 seconds at 195, Andrew Reigstad got six points in 1:07 at 220, and Charlie Farhat ended the match at heavyweight in 1:24.
