EDEN PRAIRIE -- Willmar missed out on the opportunities it was given Friday.
The Cardinals softball team was given six walks and New Prague committed two errors but couldn't score in a 3-0 loss in the Section 2AAA tournament.
Willmar ends the season 11-8.
"We had more baserunners than they did and we did not capitalize on it," said Willmar coach Brent Pederson.
New Prague's Kyla Shapekam held Willmar to two hits, but had control problems.

The Cardinals had a runner at second base in the third inning, runners at first and second in the fifth and a runner at second in the sixth.
"We just didn't execute the whole game," Pederson said.
Defensively, Willmar committed five errors, including two throwing errors on one play, allowing a run to score.
But later in the game, the Cardinals threw out two runners at the plate.
Megan Rudie and Katie Switzer had one hit each to lead Willmar.
Heather Horning took the loss, allowing just four hits in six innings of work. She struck out four and walked one.
