Nordic skiing: Willmar girls 11th at Section 2 meet

MINNEAPOLIS - The Wayzata boys and girls nordic ski teams won Section 2 championships on Thursday at the Theodore Wirth Parkway course.
The Trojans’ Anders Sonnesyn won both the Classic and Freestyle events and Wayzata’s Anna French won the Classic and teammate Michaela Keller-Miller won the Freestyle.
Willmar’s boys placed 12th while the Cardinals girls placed 11th.
Willmar’s Jack Erickson was 43rd in the Classic race and 38th in the Freestyle.
For the Cardinals girls, Marina Moyers was 56th in the Classic and 52nd in the Freestyle race.
