ANOKA, Minn. — The 41st annual Game Fair, billed as the nation’s largest outdoors sporting event for the entire family, will be held over two weekends coming up — Aug. 12-14 and Aug. 19-21 — near the northern Twin Cities suburb of Anoka
More than 50,000 people and some 4,000 dogs are expected to attend this year’s event which includes archery competition and demonstrations, dog training competition and demonstrations, trap shooting demonstrations and competition as well as vendors, food and entertainment.
Special exhibits include decoys, duck boats, art, dogs, dog accessories, taxidermy and all the latest in hunting equipment for outdoor enthusiasts. Fair-goers are encouraged to bring their dogs (leashed) and their shotguns or bows (cased) so they can participate in the many activities offered over 80 acres on the grounds of Armstrong Ranch Kennels. Activities for children of all ages include slingshots, air rifles, archery and darts.
