BISMARCK, N.D. - One night after bullpen trouble led to a loss in Bismarck, the Willmar Stingers proved it an anomaly, at least temporarily, on Wednesday night.
The Stingers produced one of their best-pitched games of the young 2019 season, with three arms combining on a four-hitter in a 6-0 over the Larks.
With the win, the Stingers lept back into a tie with the Larks in the Northwoods League Great Plains division with 7-2 records.
The Stingers and Larks, who are probably tired of staring across the diamond at each other at this point, close their four-game set at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
On Wednesday, Stingers starter Jack Zigan got the win with six innings of four-hit ball. He walked three and struck out four.

Reliever Gus Cunningham walked one and struck out two in two hitless innings and Evan Furst closed out the game in the ninth.
Willmar's Sam Baier homered, drove in two runs and scored three runs, and Branden Boissiere doubled and drove in two runs. Justin King also doubled and John Trousdale singled and drove in a pair of runs.
