Pair of BOLD Warriors sign NLIs
Sagedahl to SDSU baseball; Snow set for Northern State volleyball
OLIVIA — BOLD seniors Jordan Sagedahl and Makayla Snow put pen to paper on Wednesday to continue their athletic careers.
On National Signing Day Wednesday, Sagedahl and Snow signed their National Letters of Intent at the BOLD High School gymnasium. Sagedahl is headed to South Dakota State University in Brookings to play baseball while Snow will play volleyball at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Last spring for the state champion Warriors baseball team, Sagedahl hit for a .500 average and 1.309 on-base plus slugging percentage with three home runs, 34 RBIs, 32 runs and 23 stolen bases. On the mound, he was 6-3 with a 1.19 ERA and 77 strikeouts, including a complete-game, one-hitter in the Class A championship against New York Mills. He was named the West Central Conference’s Most Valuable Player, All-Section 2A and a Class A All-State and All-Tournament selection.
Sagedahl is also the quarterback for the football team, which will compete in the Class A state semifinals at 9 a.m. Saturday against Browerville/Eagle Valley. He is also a starter on the boys basketball team.
Just wrapping up her senior volleyball season, Snow unofficially holds the school record with 2,289 career set assists. She also finished her career with 1,152 digs, 736 kills, 178 blocks and 135 ace serves. Snow was also named the West Central Conference MVP, team MVP and is a two-time winner of the West Central’s Most Valuable Setter award.
Along with volleyball, Snow participates on the Warriors’ girls basketball team, which is looking to make it back to state this winter, and the defending Class A champion girls golf squad.
