GRANITE FALLS -- Eric Paulson threw a three-hitter to lead Lac qui Parle Valley past BOLD, 11-1 in five innings, in a Section 3AA elimination baseball game Wednesday.
Paulson threw five innings and gave up one unearned run in the third. He struck out six and walked two.
The Eagles (17-7) will play New Ulm at 1 p.m. Saturday in Marshall.
LQPV held a 2-0 lead after the second inning, but the Warriors (16-7) plated a run in the third to cut the lead in half. The Eagles then put up three runs in the third, helped by Cory Wildung's two-run, two-out single.
Six runs were added to the LQPV lead in the fourth, highlighted by two-run doubles from Tronn Tosel and Scott Bormann. Tosel went 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBI.

Tyler Hebrink and Shawn Dollerschell doubled and Alex Gay hit a single for the three BOLD hits.

Section 3A KMS 11, Canby 7
(Loser's bracket) -- A two-run triple by Aaron Zimmer and a two-run double from Marc Beckman in the top of the fourth inning propelled the Fighting Saints to an 11-7 win over Canby.
Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg racked up five of the teams 14 hits in the inning to produce a six-run rally.
Jonah Johnson led the Fighting Saints with three singles. He also drove in two runs.
Taylor Freetly earned the win with just 2Zc innings of service on the mound. He surrendered two hits for two runs.
Canby's offense was powered by Chris Nemitz and Trevor Citrowske. Nemitz blasted a two-run home run in the first inning and Citrowske cranked another two-run shot in the second inning.
