WILLMAR — The Stingers scored 10 runs in the eighth inning against the Waterloo Bucks en route to a 13-2 victory on Sunday evening at Bill Taunton Stadium.
Zac Corbin, a redshirt freshman at Kennesaw State University, started the scoring in the eighth inning. He hit a two-run home run before the Stingers tacked on eight more.
Will Busch led Willmar in RBIs (4) and hits (3). JT Navyac recorded a team-high three walks.
Mitch Gutknecht threw four scoreless innings, recording two strikeouts and allowing zero hits. He earned his first win this season.
The Stingers are third overall in the Northwoods League this season with a 32-16 record.

The two teams ahead of Willmar in wins are the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (42) and the St. Cloud Rox (35).
