WILLMAR — After sweeping the St. Cloud Rox in the Great Plains West Division best of three series, the Stingers lost 5-3 to the Duluth Huskies in the Great Plains Divisional championship on Tuesday evening.

Mitch Gutknecht pitched 4-1/3 innings in relief of starting pitcher Steven Brooks. He struck out seven batters, allowing four hits and zero runs.

Jack Zigan closed out the ninth inning on the mound. He struck out all three batters he faced in 13 pitches.
