WILLMAR — The Willmar Stingers defeated the St. Cloud Rox in another comeback fashion en route to a 3-2 victory on Monday evening.

Willmar swept the Rox in the Great Plains West Division best of three series.

Jack Habeck, the 2022 Northwoods Pitcher of the Year, threw six innings with six strikeouts. He allowed three hits, three walks and one run.

Joe Ihli earned the save. He pitched the eighth and ninth innings, striking out one batter and allowing zero hits.

Willmar's very own Drey Dirksen was the only batter in the game to record more than one hit. He went 2-for-5 with a double.

Kyle Payne, Jordan Sagedahl and Scott Anderson scored the Stingers' three runs.

The Stingers play the Duluth Huskies for the Great Plains Divisional championship at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Bill Taunton Stadium.
