GROVE CITY -- A four-run fifth inning led the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons to an 8-4 win over Montevideo in West Central South Conference baseball on Monday.
Jeff Peterson earned the win for ACGC with six innings pitched. He allowed two runs and seven hits, while walking none and striking out eight.
Brooks Maurer and Tyler Henkelman led the ACGC offense with three hits apiece. Maurer drove in three runs and Henkelman two. Joel Slinden and Mitch Tauer also drove in a run each on singles.
Josh Fenske took the loss for Montevideo, surrendering seven hits and five earned runs in four innings.
Ryan Tostenson and Mitch Christensen both hit a pair of singles for the Thunder Hawks.

Christian Brabender and Colton Vien drove in two of Montevideo's four runs.

Nate Gades pitched seven innings for the win. He scattered six hits, struck out four and walked two.
