LESTER PRAIRIE -- Buffalo Lake-Hector won its first baseball game of the season at the right time, beating Lester Prairie 5-2 in a Section 2A play-in game Monday.
"We made one error in the game and had as many hits as we've had all season long," said BLH coach Mitch Maxwell about the keys to the only victory so far for the Mustangs (1-19).
BLH also got a complete game out of Trevor Albrecht, who allowed two runs on four hits and finished the game with just 66 pitches thrown.
The Mustangs, who will play New Ulm Cathedral at 5 p.m. Thursday in New Ulm, held a 4-0 lead after RBI doubles from Albrecht and Andy Fischer in the third inning.
Albrecht, Fischer and Ben Meyer clubbed two hits each and BLH belted a total of three doubles.

The victory broke a 21-game losing streak, dating back to the first game of a doubleheader at Sleepy Eye May 16, 2008, that the Mustangs won 7-1.
