PRINSBURG - Dylan Abraham led off the top of the eighth walking for the third time, advanced on a Connor Cronen sac bunt and trucked home on a single to left by Tyler Moffenbier for a 3-2 MACCRAY win on Thursday at Prinsburg.
When Cronen mowed down the Bluejays in the bottom of the frame at City Park, Central Minnesota Christian dropped to 0-3 in the last 10 days in extra-inning games.
Cronen got the win throwing two scoreless innings, after starter Caleb Melin went the first six allowing two runs on five hits while whiffing five.
Ryan Bulthuis pitched the first four innings for CMCS and came back in the eighth, taking the loss. Overtime is not what the Bluejays need at the moment with six games scheduled in six days through Monday.
Noah Wubben’s single up the middle plated Nick Daugherty to tie the game 1-1 in the fourth. A bad-hop single in the fifth put the Bluejays up 2-1 but the Wolverines tied it 2-2 in the sixth with their second unearned run, as Melin scored all the way from second after the Jays missed a tailor-made chance for a double play.
