GLENWOOD - BOLD left-hander Logan Sandgren continued his remarkable stretch of pitching, no-hitting Minnewaska while striking out 14 in the Warriors’ 2-0 win over the Lakers on Monday.
Lakers lefty Riley Thompson took the hard-luck loss in virtually a pitch-for-pitch duel with Sandgren.
Sandgren didn’t walk any Minnewaska hitters but a Laker reached on an error and another was hit by a pitch to negate Sandgren’s bid for a perfect game.
BOLD’s Riley Kramer drove in a first inning run and Trent Athmann provided insurance with a fifth-inning RBI.
Sandgren, who along with Kramer dominated the Class A state tournament last year, has won his last six starts and has allowed just four hits in 36 innings pitched during that span.

He’s thrown three no-hitters, two one-hitters and a two-hitter in last year’s Section 2A playoffs. He hasn’t allowed a run since a May 28, 2013 win over New Ulm Cathedral.
His earned-run average in the six games is 0.19 and he’s struck out 53.
Thompson was equally strong. He worked all seven innings, allowing six hits, two unearned runs, and he walked one and struck out six.
Sandgren has allowed one hit and no walks while striking out 23 in 11 innings this season.
The 3-0 Warriors play next against Benson in Bird Island today at 5 p.m.
The 2-2 Lakers travel to play Montevideo at 5 p.m.
