SUNBURG - Though they had just 4 hits, the Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles drew 13 walks to help them to a 8-3 win over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Friday.
LQPV improved to 7-0 in the conference and 9-0 overall to stay ahead of second-place Russell-Tyler-Ruthton atop the Camden Conference.
The Eagles broke a scoreless tie in the second with 3 walks and a hit batter to score 2 runs.
They added 2 in the fourth and 1 in the fifth, before tacking on 3 in the sixth capped by a 2-run triple by Eric Smith.
Ben Morken pitched 6 innings of 2-run ball to pick up the win.

Sam Johnson and Rylan Hatlestad each had 2 hits for the Fighting Saints.
KMS next plays Monday at Dawson-Boyd.
LQPV will play Saturday at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Invite in Elrosa.
