COTTONWOOD -- Marc Beckman pitched a complete-game shutout as Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg upended Lakeview 4-0 in a Camden Conference game on Thursday.
KMS managed only two hits, but took advantage of five walks. The win was the eighth straight for the Fighting Saints (5-3, 8-4), who opened the season with four losses in a row.
Taylor Freetly rapped a two-run single in the third for KMS. Aaron Zimmer used a squeeze bunt in the fourth inning to score the third run and a fielder's choice scored the final run in the top of the sixth.
Beckman allowed five hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Alex Jones' double in the fifth inning broke a 4-4 tie and gave Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (6-2, 8-4) the lead for good. Jones hit two doubles and drove in two runs overall to hand MACCRAY (5-1, 9-1) its first loss of the season.
Jordan Ruter led the Wolverines with two hits. Shaun Condon added a double.
Isaac Dolan went the distance for the win, scattering seven hits. He walked none and struck out five.

Dakota Freiborg singled in Corey Abbas with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh innning for Renville County West.
Brian Harper uncorked a solo homer for the Jaguars (6-3, 6-3) in the second inning.

In the seventh, Abbas pinch hit and drew a walk and advanced on a catcher's interference with Adam Loe at bat. With two outs, Freiborg singled to left-center field.
Ben Trochlil hurled the first six innings for RCW, allowing seven hits and two runs, while walking two and striking out six. Freiborg pitched a scoreless seventh for the win.
