ELROSA -- Maple Lake took a pair of Central Minnesota Conference baseball games from Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa at Saints Field Friday 8-1 and 11-1.
In Game One, Tony Sanders singled in Brady Weller, who reached on a walk, with the Jaguars' lone run.
Maple Lake rocked BBE starter Brandon DeKok for nine hits and eight runs (six earned) in three innings. Freshman reliever Brady Weller shut out the Irish the rest of the way on two hits.
In Game Two, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa took a temporary lead in the top of the first when Kevin Keufler got the first of two singles and Josh Beier sent him home with his second double of the day.
But the Irish (9-2, 10-4) potted five runs in the bottom of the frame off Keufler, who left in the third inning. Mitch Wurm threw a four-hitter for the win.
