MORRIS -- Mitch Christensen's two-run single capped a three-run rally as Montevideo overcame Morris 5-3 on Monday in West Central South Conference baseball.
The win also moved the Thunder Hawks (5-2, 7-3) into first place in the conference after Lac qui Parle Valley fell to Yellow Medicine East in 10 innings Monday.
Colton Vien stopped the Tigers on five hits, all coming in the second inning. He walked one and struck out nine.
Vien also led off the sixth-inning rally with a single. Two errors pushed in the tying run that made it 3-3.
The Tigers went up 3-1 in the second on consecutive RBI singles by Tanner Rohloff, Tyler Hansen and Tanner Berning.

Losing pitcher Matt Lembcke pitched a complete-game, allowing eight hits with four walks and four strikeouts for Morris.

Seven innings couldn't determine a winner and both teams plated five runs in the eighth inning to extend the game even further. Yellow Medicine East (4-4, 5-5) dropped Lac qui Parle Valley (5-3, 5-5) out of first place in the conference.

Jordan Hagert doubled to lead off the 10th and moved over to third base on Garrett Cole's ground ball. Devin Dyrdahl then laced a hit down the third-base line to knock in Hagert with the winning run for Yellow Medicine East.
Eric Paulson's two-run double and Dylan Croatt's two-run single sandwiched Jacob Redepenning's RBI single in Lac qui Parle Valley's eighth inning.
Yellow Medicine East tied it in the bottom half after Derek Dyrdahl slugged a three-run homer and Cole and Devin Dyrdahl drew bases-loaded walks.
Redepenning had three hits for the Eagles, while Chase Keimig and Croatt had two apiece.
