PAYNESVILLE - Is this a rebuilding year for the Bulldogs or are they just rearranging?

Paynesville is a modest 2-2 with a nearly all-new line-up after walloping ACGC 13-0 on Friday, but indications are these boys can play.

Just ask the Falcons after they were buried by a nine-run Dogs’ second and ended up on the short end of a five-inning no-hitter pitched by Nathan Meyer, the lone full-time starter back.

Meyer walked one and hit a batter and fanned six. He also had two hits on offense.

Trent Gertken smashed a 3-run homer in the second while Anthony Johnson, batting in the leadoff spot, triple in the second and homered, a solo, in the third, a ball that traveled an estimated 400 feet, according to Paynesville’s veteran head coach Brad Skoglund.
