SACRED HEART -- Two pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout as Renville County West topped Lakeview 2-0 in Camden Conference baseball action Tuesday.
Adam Loe threw 6Xc innings, allowing all four hits, then gave way to Trent Novotny with runners on first and second. He struck out the only batter he faced to preserve the win.
Loe struck out seven and walked four. He got out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth with a strikeout.
Austin Link drove in both RCW runs in the second inning with a single. The Jaguars (7-3, 8-3) had runners on second and third with two outs when Link singled to right field.
Lakeview (4-3, 4-5) pitcher Adam Brewers allowed only three hits in the loss, striking out eight and walking three.
