Prep baseball roundup: Hatlestad, NLS drop hammer on Litchfield

SPICER -- There was just too much Jarrett Hatlestad for Litchfield at the Green Lake Diamond on Friday evening as New London-Spicer came from behind to trip the Dragons 6-5.

SPICER - There was just too much Jarrett Hatlestad for Litchfield at the Green Lake Diamond on Friday evening as New London-Spicer came from behind to trip the Dragons 6-5.

Third-inning: With NLS trailing 4-0, Hatlestad’s bases-clearing triple made it 4-3.

Seventh-inning: Down 5-4 with no out and Michael Arnold (single) on third and Brett Olson (double) on second, Hatlestad hit a shot to deep left plating both and ending the Wright County Conference West Division match.

The swing also made Hatlestad the winning pitcher. He had relieved Arnold with one out in the sixth and the Dragons threatening to score again.

Litchfield’s Eddie Estrada’s two-run single in the first fueled a three-run first at bat for the visitors. Cody Klabune had three of the Dragons’ 10 hits.
