Border West 3,

Lac qui Parle Valley gave up three unearned runs in the tough-luck loss to Border West at Madison.

Border West scored once in third third. A runner reached first on an error and went to third on a failed pick-off attempt in which the throw went into right field.

Border West added two in the seventh on a two-run double by Brody Nochbar in which both runs were unearned.

“It was our third straight game in which we didn’t allow an earned run,” LQPV coach Bart Hill said. “It tells you how good our pitching has been and how we’ve struggled in the field.”
