MINNEAPOLIS - New London-Spicer scored five runs in the last three innings to outlast Annandale 8-4 on Monday in a Wright County Conference game played at Siebert Field on the University of Minnesota campus.
The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader but the second game was suspended by rain in the bottom of the second inning, with Annandale leading 2-1. The game will be resumed at a date to be determined.
Trey Austvold, Ryan Vraa, Brett Olson and Lucas Nordmeyer all had two hits for the Wildcats, and Nordmeyer worked a complete game to get the victory.
Nordmeyer pitched seven innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out five.

Peterson and Litchfield’s Austin Larson both threw one-hitters. The Panthers scored their run in the first on Peterson’s RBI single.
Cody Klabunde singled for Litchfield’s only hit.

With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Litchfield’s Eddie Estrada stole third base and scored on an overthrow to end a Wright County Conference game Saturday at Optimist Park in Litchfield.
Jake Schultz was 2-for-4 and drove in a run and he earned the pitching victory, working seven innings and striking out seven.
Estrada reached on a double in the seventh.
NLS’ Ryan Vraa was 2-for-3 and Brett Olson was 1-for-3 and drove in a run.
