REGAL - Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa’s Alex Schumann laced a two-out, two-run single to complete a six-run comeback - all in the bottom of the seventh - as the Jaguars beat Upsala/Swanville 6-5 on Tuesday in a non-conference game.
The Patriots blanked BBE for six innings, taking a 5-0 lead into the seventh.
Jordan Wosmek started the comeback with a leadoff walk. James Boogaard and Derek Weiner singled, and the Jaguars took advantage of an error, two more walks and a hit batter to pull within one, bringing the senior Schumann to the plate, who drove in the game-tying and winning runs.
Starting pitcher Brian Goodwin lasted four innings and gave up two runs.
Wosmek picked up the win with three innings of relief, striking out six.

BOLD (2-0) got only three hits in its second game of the season - and all of them came leading off the first inning in consecutive order from Trent Athmann, Lane Stadther and Trevor Nissen - but the Warriors stole 10 bases after Redwood Valley made five errors, issued six walks and hit three other hitters.
Nissen, Steffel and Austin Weis combined to blank the Cardinals and keep eight of the nine starters hitless. Colton Minkel was 3-for-3 to try to jumpstart the Redwood Valley offense.
The first five Warriors in the batting order reached base in the first to give BOLD a quick 3-0 lead. Two more runs came across in the second before a four-run fourth punctuated a second-straight rout to open the season for BOLD.

Winning pitcher Brandon Shaw tossed seven strong innings, allowing just one run on a wild pitch, and struck out seven.

After tying the game at 10 in the top half of the seventh, Litchfield fell in the bottom half on a throwing error.
The Dragons (1-2) were scoreless through the first three innings before scoring in each of the final four frames. Eddie Estrada highlighted a four-run fifth with a three-run homer to right-center and pinch-runner Austin Larson tied the game in the seventh by scoring on Matt Hopkins’ two-out double. Andy Schneider scored on an error after doubling in a run earlier in the seventh.
Cody Klabunde singled three times, while Hopkins, Braeden Wahl and Riley Johnson added two hits each for Litchfield, which is scheduled to host Maple Lake today at 4 p.m.
