MONTEVIDEO - The Morris/Chokio-Alberta baseball team’s hitter were so hot Tuesday they probably had a couple of knocks on the bus ride to Montevideo.
The Tigers had 17 hits, nine for extra bases, and overwhelmed the Thunder Hawks 20-0 in five innings.
Morris/CA scored 14 runs in the first two innings and also posted a five-spot in the fourth.
Tanner Picht was 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, a triple and he drove in five runs.
Jacob Torgerson had three hits, including a triple and a double, and he also drove in five runs.

Bryce Jergenson had two extra base hits and drove in four runs, Tom Holland was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Mac Beyer had two hits. Corey Storck, Tyler Henrichs, Lincoln Berget and Logan Manska also drove in runs for the Tigers.
Markus Kranz and Jake Bednar both had doubles for the T-hawks, who play a doubleheader at Minnewaska on Thursday.

The Warriors and Bulldogs split a doubleheader by almost identical scores, and, appropriately, both teams are tied for the West Central South lead at 4-1.
BOLD scored five first-inning runs and downed the Bulldogs 7-3 in game one.
Down two in the late innings of game two, Paynesville scored seven runs in the last two innings and won 7-2.
Paynesville is now 5-5 overall and plays ACGC at 5 p.m. Thursday in Atwater. BOLD is 8-4.
In game one, Trevor Nissen, Trent Athmann and Austin Weis all had two hits and Logan Sandgren worked all six innings for the victory.
Matthew Dingmann drove in two runs for the Bulldogs.
In game two, Trent Gertken doubled twice and drove in three runs and Nathan Meyer also had a pair of doubles.
Winning pitcher Jordan Roos gave up five hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out six.
