PAYNESVILLE -- Brooks Maurer fanned 16 and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City beat Paynesville 6-5 in the nightcap to gain a split of their West Central South twinbill on a chilly Thursday night.
In Game One, Nathan Nietfeld went 3-for-3 and twirled a five-hitter in a 12-2 Paynesville victory.
The win marked the 300th career victory for Bulldogs' head coach Brad Skoglund, who is in his 22nd season.
