SPICER -- Reed Voit's three-run home run in the sixth inning gave lifted Albany a 6-4 West Central North Conference baseball victory over New London-Spicer Monday.
The Huskies (11-2, 12-4) trailed 4-3 in the sixth. Voit finshed with two hits, as did Brian Schlangen.
The Wildcats (7-5, 8-7) responded with a sacrifice fly from Shawn Hatlestad to get within one run, but it would the closest NLS would get. Hatlestad also had a sacrifice fly in the second inning.
With the score tied 3-3 in the fifth, the Wildcats took the lead on a fielder's choice.
Luke Reiter, also NLS' starting pitcher, and Kevin Soine paced the Wildcats with two hits each. Taylor Dammermann doubled and had an RBI. Soine took the loss, pitching 1Xc innings of relief.
