Prep Baseball: Warriors down Falcons

ATWATER - Austin Weis was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI as BOLD defeatedAtwater-Cosmos-Grove City 6-3 on Friday in a West Central Conference showdown.
The Warriors cranked out three runs in the top of the third inning and never trailed.
Max Buchtel was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Brecken Ebnet had a hit and two RBIs.
ACGC scored one run apiece in the last three innings, but could not make up the early deficit.
Lane Stadther pitched five innings, allowing two runs and striking out two for BOLD.
ACGC’s Derek Dengerud tossed six innings, while giving up five walks and nine hits. At the plate, he was 2-for-4 with a double, and Payton Kinzler was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
ACGC will look to bounce back hosting Paynesville in a doubleheader 4 p.m. Monday.
BOLD plays 5 p.m. Thursday at Morris/Chokio-Alberta.
