WILLMAR - Willmar’s bats were silent Tuesday, as it was held scoreless by Alexandria in both games of a doubleheader.
Willmar fell to 1-4 overall.
In Game 1, Willmar kept it close, but couldn’t push a run across and lost 3-0.
Their best chance came in the fourth, when they loaded the bases with no outs, but a double play and a strikeout ended the rally.
Alexandria did its damage with an RBI-double in the fourth and a two-run homer in the fifth.

Willmar’s Heather Horning took the loss, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 10.
Alexandria took advantage of four first-inning errors by Willmar in Game 2 to put up 9 runs and run away with it early.
Willmar plays next Thursday at Fergus Falls.
